It was 1977 when Anna D’Andrea, after a twenty-year experience as a chef in Rome, returned to Civitella Casanova to pursue her dream: converting a tobacconist’s shop into a trattoria. Following their mother’s teachings over time, Marcello Spadone and his wife Bruna, with the help of their sons, Alessio and Mattia, and a close-knit team of collaborators, have transformed “La Bandiera” into an elite destination for Abruzzo gastronomy.

Trained at Albereta at learning from the master Gualtiero Marchesi, know to be among the best restaurants in Italy.

Bruna Sablone, chef and true soul of the restaurant, puts her training as an agronomist to good use in her magical vegetable garden.

He trained working for the Roca brothers, multi award-winning Spanish chefs. There he enhanced and enriched his portfolio with new techniques and imagination.

He first started working in the restaurant industry with an internship at Enoteca Pinchiorri.

She started her career in the restaurant industry with an internship at Enoteca Pinchiorri. An integral part of the Spadone family, working closely with Alessio, in the dining room and in life, she oversees the service and continually redesigns La Bandiera’s hospitality concept.

His background is in hotel management at ALMA. He has cultivated a deep passion for food and wine, constantly honing his skills. Since 2020, he has been a sommelier at La Bandiera.

Born in 1999, he trained at the Hotel Management Institute of Villa Santa Maria. Since 2015. He’s been an integral part of the kitchen crew at La Bandiera, where he is a cornerstone of the team.
